Happy 2012!

We drove to New Orleans to celebrate the new year with Christine, Sarah Blake, and Murre. The Prius' maiden voyage went extremely well.

Its no Volvo SUV, but at least I am doing my part to save the environment! Now I don't have to feel guilty for not recycling.

We ate at Christine's and then went out to see the Soul Rebels at Blue Nile on Frenchman Street. Joe loved them so much he bought a CD.

It was a great time as always! We popped our champagne (since we didn't have enough in celebration anyway) and had a fancy toast to welcome the year that we will get married! That may not have been what everyone was toasting, but we can pretend it was.

Joseph had a rough time waking up and getting on the road on Sunday, but I had the Prius loaded up and was getting antsy, so I forced him to get in the car, and we left everyone else lounging around watching the Saints game! It didn't look like anyone was moving too fast around those parts. We can't wait to get back to New Orleans!!

Surprise!

Can you hear the wedding bells ringing?? Joseph popped the big question over Christmas and we are getting married in 7 months! There was a lot of champagne drinking over the two weeks we were home, and wedding plans are in the works. Good thing I have a retired mom who can do all of the dirty work while I am six hours away. Thanks mom!
