Here we are outside of our new apartment
We got to spend Thanksgiving in Mobile with little Jane, who is apparently not this little anymore:
We had our first Christmas tree and shared Christmas. We got to keep Palmer for a while, and she kept me company while I job searched. We walked all over Uptown checking out the awesome houses everyday and taking notes for our dream home.
Ryan and Missy came to visit us and celebrate New Years. We went to Maison on Frenchmen, and listened to the Brass-a-holics in Christine's VIP section. Faaannccyyyyy
The Super Bowl XLVII was in New Orleans this year, so we got to experience the fun and madness that came along with that.
We also survived Mardi Gras (barely.) Our bodies were struggling to keep up with the debauchery towards the end, but we pushed on through to Ash Wednesday. I have never been so happy for Lent to begin! Here are some scenes from our first New Orleans Mardi Gras:
Jonathan and Libby came to visit one weekend for Emily's 30th bday party. This is Jonathan at Domelises putting down a large fried shrimp poboy, zapps, and a barqs root beer in under five minutes:
Mardi Gras was veryyyyy rainy
Palmer enjoyed the parades too..especially the horses (there were no barricades...)
pooped out on Fat Tuesday
I think that should catch you up, and now I can start regular posting again! Stay tuned loyal readers! (if there is anyone reading besides Joe)
